Established in the picturesque year of 2000, Cochise Stud stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of a legendary Appaloosa cutting Stallion, Zip Cochise. Renowned not only for his prowess in the show arena but also immortalized on the silver screen in films such as "El Dorado," where the iconic John Wayne saddled up on him (and occasionally experienced a tumble).

Nestled in the heart of the enchanting Mid-West of Ireland, our stud takes pride in its proximity to the historic monastic site of Clonmacnoise and the regal Clonony Castle, both rich in cultural heritage. Just a short drive away, Birr Town beckons at a mere 15  minutes, while the vibrant Athlone Town lies a scenic 20 minutes to the north.
